Registration

You can use this page to understand the registration process for new and returning students, as well as related documents.

New students wishing to enroll in Hawthorn need to enter our lottery during open enrollment which begins December 5th. Our first lottery pull is held Tuesday, January 10th for siblings, Tuesday, January 17th for transfer students and the general lottery group is run on Tuesday, January 24th. Utah law requires students to present a birth certificate when enrolling a student in a new school. Information on obtaining a copy of a birth certificate can be found here.

Parents and guardians of returning students will receive an email in December instructing them to register their student for the upcoming school year through Aspire. Registration begins December 5th and must be completed for each student by a January 26th in order to secure a returning placement.

The systemic needs assessment is anonymous but does ask for demographic information so we can disaggregate the information based on student population. Question topics involve college and career readiness plans, stress management, and other academic indicators. You can see a complete list of the questions to be asked of students in the needs assessment on our counseling center website.
