Hawthorn Academy

Where every student belongs.

Hawthorn Academy is a free, public charter school that receives Title I funding and serves students in Kindergarten through 9th grade. We are a STEM-focused (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) school with two campus locations in West Jordan and South Jordan, Utah.

  • South Jordan Campus: Serves students in grades K–6.

  • West Jordan Campus: Serves students in grades K–9.

Students who complete 6th grade at the South Jordan campus are automatically enrolled at the West Jordan campus as returning students for 7th grade.

Curriculum & Instruction

At Hawthorn Academy, we are deeply committed to providing every student with a guaranteed and viable curriculum that aligns with Utah’s Core Standards. Our goal is to ensure that each child has access to high-quality instruction and the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. With a focus on academic rigor, personalized learning, and student growth, our teachers work diligently to create engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.

As part of our commitment to innovation and preparing students for the future, Hawthorn Academy is actively incorporating a STEM framework across all grade levels. This integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math into daily instruction helps foster essential 21st-century skills, including communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. By weaving STEM into our core content areas, students not only deepen their academic knowledge but also build problem-solving skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom.
