My name is Lisa Wilson.  This is my 8th year at Hawthorn, and my 9th year as a full-time teacher. Before teaching full time, I subbed for 12 years while my children were in school.

I am Mom to 4 awesome sons and 1 daughter.  I also have 4 wonderful bonus daughters, and 1 wonderful bonus son.  (Some people call them in-laws.)  I have 11 little buddies that call me, "Grandma".  That is one of my favorite titles!

I love music, U.S. history, baking, BYU football and North Carolina Tar Heel basketball! My favorite activity of all is traveling with my fabulous husband. We are celebrating 39 years of marriage this year (2025).

I love 5th grade.  It’s my very favorite. My first year of teaching was in 5th grade, and my heart has always wanted to go back.   I love the curriculum.  I will be teaching Language Arts to all of the students, and Social Studies to my homeroom.  It's going to be a great year!
