House of Protos!

This is Katherine Harbaugh’s fourth year teaching 7th-grade math at Hawthorn. She graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University (go COUGS) and has endorsements for Middle School Math and Elementary Math from Utah State University. She has a broad educational background that includes classroom teaching, online and in-person tutoring, volunteering to help higher-level elementary math students, teaching at a private learning center, and helping with adult education. 

Katherine and her husband are parents to five adult children (two of whom are married) and have one granddaughter. Before her children grew up, she cheered them on at soccer and volleyball games, gymnastics meets, music concerts, and piano recitals. She currently fills her extra time with a good book and video calls with her family.
