Hello! I’m Mrs. Jennine Watson, and I’m excited to be joining the second grade team at Hawthorn Academy South Jordan! I graduated from Weber State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and hold an ESL Endorsement through the State of Utah. I’ve been teaching for 11 years across grades K–3, and this will be my fourth year teaching second grade.

I have a passion for working with young learners and strive to inspire a lifelong love of learning in my students. I especially enjoy integrating the arts into the classroom and using digital technology to enhance instruction and engagement.

Although I was born in Utah, I grew up moving around the country as part of a military family. My husband, Adam, and I have called Herriman home since we were married in 2006. We have three wonderful children—ages 16, 14, and 10—as well as a dog and three cats.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family. We love traveling (especially to the beach), camping, boating, and attending concerts or musical theater performances.
