I have been with Hawthorn Academy for three years, and it has been a truly wonderful experience. The students are amazing and the professional staff of Hawthorn is second to none. My educational experience extends over many years with several of those being an English and reading teacher and an administrator at the Utah State prison, the high school, and the middle school. Moving to the charter world has dramatically increased my knowledge and experience for all the right reasons. I have grown much in this role as superintendent. I am truly humbled by the hard working individuals who are such a great example to me as they serve the students of Hawthorn with compassion and care including the wonderful members who serve on our board of education and within our HOPE organizations.
