I’m thrilled to be joining Hawthorn Academy as the 5th grade ELA teacher! After 20 years of teaching middle school social studies, I’m excited to dive into the world of reading, writing, and imagination with the 5th graders at Hawthorn. My goal is to make our classroom a place where curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning grow every day.

When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me on a road trip, attending shows, movies or concerts, or just hanging out with my wife and our twin sons. I also look forward to Mondays when I get to talk to our oldest son, who’s serving an LDS mission in Chile.

I grew up in Albuquerque and have lived in Utah since 2001.
