I'm looking forward to another year at Hawthorn Academy. I teach English Language Arts and really enjoy being in the classroom. The best thing about students is when they collaborate with each other and bring in different ideas and perspectives. I love it when they teach me something new!

My husband and I have five incredible children. Our youngest was born in May. We enjoy having dinner/movie nights, traveling, and taking walks. I love baking yummy treats and bringing them in for my colleagues to try. 

I have a bachelor's degree in communications from Southern Utah University (go T-Birds!), with a minor in dance performance. I have a speechwriter's certificate and spent time interning in Washington, D.C. I have lived in three other states and moved back to Utah in 2019. I love learning and reading, and I hope to instill that in the students I get to teach this year!
