Biography

Ms. Yolane Rodriguez (pronounced Yo-law-neh) graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music Education and Minor in Spanish Teaching. This is her 5th year teaching at Hawthorn Academy and her classes include: Band, Orchestra, Percussion, Choir, Guitar 1, Guitar 2, and 6th Grade General Music. She is a Utah native having grown up in Kearns and graduated from Kearns High School. Currently Ms. Rodriguez enjoys reading, playing video games, listening to audiobooks, playing music with the West Valley Symphony of Utah, and spending her summers playing in pit orchestras for community musicals around the Salt Lake Valley. Ms. Rodriguez is fluent in Spanish, English, Japanese, and Portuguese.
