Biography

Hello, my name is Nicol Navarrete. The kids call me Mrs. N.

 I have been at Hawthorn Academy for 9 years. I graduated from BYU with my Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Biology. I always wanted to be a teacher. After my three kids were all in school, I went back to WGU and got my teaching license and  Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. This will be my second year teaching 4th grade.  However, this year I get to be the Miss Frizzle of 4th grade and teach science!  This could be my dream job.  When I'm not working with my amazing students, I am home with my kids and 2 dogs, paddleboarding, hiking, snowboarding, learning to play my drums or relaxing with a good book, podcast or movie.
