Biography

I'm Kellie Blackham, I'm the Special Education teacher for Kindergarten to 3rd grade. This is my 6th year of teaching at Hawthorn Academy. I have enjoyed working with our Special Education students and watching their progress. Prior to working in Special Education, I was a Speech Language Technician. Speech Therapy and Special Education are my passions! Helping each student make progress in all areas of their development is a challenge that I am honored to accept each day. I strive to create an environment where learners are nurtured in fun, safe, positive, and creative ways.

I am excited and honored to be assistant house leader for Rêveur, the House of Dreamers. This will be an amazing year as we learn and grow together in our houses. Together, we can create a positive school environment for students, teachers, and families.
