Hi! My name is Emily Shepherd and I love teaching Kindergarten! I was born and raised in Mesa, AZ, attended Arizona State University where I got my degree in Elementary Education, and then spent my first 5 years of teaching in Gilbert, AZ. I moved to Utah a few years ago, and have been at Hawthorn ever since. I am so excited to be back at Hawthorn for another great school year! 

I love being with my family, especially my nieces and nephews. I have a dog named Mayer who I love very much. Some of my favorite things are baking, Harry Potter, reading, holidays, watching movies, and Dr. Pepper!

I am looking forward to getting to know each of you, and know it's going to be an amazing year!
