Biography

My name is Elisia Green. I have lived in Utah my whole life. I received my teaching degree in Elementary Education from Utah Valley University. I started teaching here at Hawthorn Academy in August of 2016. I have five kids, three of them received their education here at Hawthorn so I know what a great school this is. I love teaching second grade, there is nothing greater than the creativity, imagination and innocence that young children possess. My favorite subject to teach is reading. Nothing makes me happier than to see a child’s reading level increase! When I am not teaching I love to travel, spend time with my family and read. My favorite author is Richard Paul Evans and I really like true crime also. I probably would have made an amazing detective if teaching were not my first choice!
