Biography

Hello, I’m Mrs. Ketcham. I am so excited to be teaching at Hawthorn Academy! I come from a background in Early Childhood/Special Education. I have been teaching for over 10 years. My fourth grade teacher had such a positive impact on my life. Ever since, my dream has been to make a difference in the lives of children each day. Young learners are the best! Being able to see them grow and progress so much in one year is so rewarding.

I was raised in Texas but had to come back to my roots where I was born as I love the mountains. I am married to my best friend, Mike, and we have five children. As a family we love to watch movies, play games, spend time laughing together, and simply make memories along the way. Being a mom is my greatest blessing!

The Rainbow Teacher

A good teacher

Is a brilliant light,

Illuminating the prism of life,

Revealing to students

A rainbow of possibilities.
