P-EBT Benefits
The Utah state plan has been approved for 2023 Summer Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT). The P-EBT program is administered through the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) Food and Nutrition Service and State Agencies to supply a one-time benefit amount of $120 per eligible child to buy groceries for students. Benefits will be issued onto an electric benefit card during the Summer of 2023 by the Department of Workforce services.
Households will not receive P-EBT benefits due to school closures, reduced attendance or COVID-related absences during the 2022-2023 school year. There will be one round of reporting in May for all students that have qualified for a Free/Reduced status by May 1st. 2023. To qualify you must be enrolled in a school that participates in the National School Lunch program and have submitted a Free/Reduced Application to the Nutrition Department.
If you have not yet submitted a Free/Reduced Application for SY23, you can do so on the Free and Reduced Lunch tab or fill out a paper copy in the school office.

Los hogares no recibirán beneficios de P-EBT debido al cierre de escuelas, asistencia reducida o ausencias relacionadas con COVID durante el año escolar 2022-2023. Habrá una ronda de informes en mayo para todos los estudiantes que hayan calificado para un estado Gratis/Reducido antes del 1 de mayo. 2023.
Para calificar, debe estar inscrito en una escuela que participe en el programa Nacional de Almuerzos Escolares y haber presentado una Solicitud Gratis/Reducida al Departamento de Nutrición.
Si aún no ha enviado una solicitud gratis/reducida para SY23, puede hacerlo aquí o completar una copia impresa en la oficina de la escuela.
