Jaylynn Merrill
3rd Grade
Hello, My name is Mrs. Merrill. I am a second year teacher, but I have been with the Hawthorn Academy Family for many years as a paraprofessional (teachers aide) for 5th and 2nd grade. I am in ISIBINDI, the house of Courage (the best house). In my class we will celebrate ALL houses. 8 Houses, 1 Family. I graduated from WGU, in Elementary Education. Before I began teaching, I was a hair stylist for over twenty years. I have three, beautiful redheaded, daughters, one step-daughter, and three stepsons. I also have two very cute granddaughters. I have been married for 8 1/2 years to my partner in crime, and my biggest supporter, Troy. I have loved being involved at Hawthorn, first as a parent and now as an educator. I look forward to teaching your amazing 3rd graders this year!
