Biography

I'm Ms. Puerto and I am so excited to be back at Hawthorn Academy this year!  This is my fifth year in the classroom and my fourth year teaching 2nd grade. I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Utah (Go Utes!) and my Master’s Degree from Western Governors University.  I love second graders and everything that they bring with them, especially their eagerness and curiosity. I love reading, skiing and spending time with my family. I'm looking forward to meeting and getting to know each and every one of you this year.
