Biography

I'm Brittani Johnson and this is my 12th year teaching. I've taught 6th, 3rd, Kindergarten and this year I get to teach 1st grade. I have taught in Ogden School District and Jordan School District prior to coming to Hawthorn.  I am the oldest in my family and spend a lot of time with them. We like to play games and watch movies...a lot.  I have a Snorkie (yorkie, schnauzer mix) who is my baby (10 yrs).  

I earned my Associates Degree at Snow College and my Bachelors Degree at Weber State University. I've known that I wanted to be a teacher since I was very young, having had several of my own teachers be instrumental in shaping who I am. I am very lucky to be at Hawthorn and love the culture here. Teaching all day is going to be an adjustment this year, but I’m excited for the opportunity to try something new.  Every year I am astounded at what my students teach me and I’m certain this year will be no different!

This is going to be a fantastic year, I'm so excited for the adventure!
