Biography

I am a new member of the Hawthorn Academy family. I have a daughter starting Kindergarten in fall of 2021 as well as a very busy toddler at home. I have followed the growth of the school in the last few years in hopes of becoming part of this community, and I am excited for the opportunity to be involved hands on. 

 I have ten-years’ experience working as a medical assistant, and I am currently a stay-at-home mom, taking care of my two daughters and two dogs. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, or being alone and reading a good book. I love the summer time—we spend a lot of time outdoors camping, boating, and or simply spending time around our backyard fire. 

 I believe in giving children a positive environment where parents and teachers work together to help them reach their goals and grow to be better and more independent students. I also believe in the mission and vision of Hawthorn Academy and look forward to serving on the board.
